The
Westside Circus
On the 21st of May, the grade 3/4 walked across to the
Westside Circus for education week. The circus presenters were called Rocky and
Sal and they taught us some fun new ways to learn maths through circus tricks!
First we learnt about patterns by counting by threes watching juggling.
This also taught us a little bit about multiplication. There were many fun
tricks such as taking hats off each other. We also made a new unit of
measurement called Ballamgundersons, named after Miles.
Then we got to walk the tight rope and see how many "Balaamgunderson's" we
got to. Most of us kept on getting 3 and-a-half "Balaamgunderson's." At the end we
all made gigantic human pyramid where we all balanced on each other.
The Westside Circus was a big success because it was lots of fun and
very educational.
