Grade 3/4 Camp

GRADE 3/4 CAMP

On the 2nd of May the grade 3/4 went to Golden Valleys Lodge. We were split into four groups, Kangaroos and the Echidnas went on one bus and the Wallabies and the Echidnas went on another.

When we arrived the owner called Andrea explained the do’s and don’ts and also showed us to our cabins. The girls and boys settled down, prepared their beds and then gathered around in the dinning room.

Later that day we partnered up and got an orienteering card.

This had a picture of an object that was zoomed in closely. In partners, we needed to find what and where the object was located using the camp map.

Soon after that was the first and second rotation. Some of the activities were Low Ropes, Archery, Flying Fox, Team Building, Trampolining and Mountain Biking. They were very fun and exciting especially the Flying Fox.

My favourite food was the yummy spaghetti bolognas. My favourite dessert was an apple crumble with cream, yum!

The rest of camp was really fun with lots of memorable activities, I enjoyed putting on my warm clothes, grabbing our torches ready for a night walk. We can’t wait for next year and hope for the same!
